by banksy on April 12, 2010

I’m from where banksy was born..

And theres alot of his art about the city that just amazes me..

Bristol isn’t known for much, but apparently banksy is know world wide and had a Exhibition in LA..

He’s a house hold name in bristol,

how about where you live?

No body know who actually is banksy, but his work is amazing..

Search it on good or look at it on youtube, he sends some really good messages..

Enjoy his work..
Also state where your from!!

I know he is amazing, i wonder what type of person he is..

for all we know he could be some 43 year old alcoholic..

But would a 43 year old alcoholic be so good at art, and such brilliant messages..
oh wow,

Banksy is not from london, he’s from bristol lol!

Absolutely, I totally love all his work, it’s brilliant, I’d love to meet him!

And hopefully I will someday! =D

But who knows… It may even be a team of artists.

I could do with him to paint my fence!

It’s kind of funny that his parents think he’s just a painter and decorator, if only they knew! Wasn’t his identity reveled last month? Robin Gunningham.

Yes I have heard of him, he’s fantastic! I was looking at his work for an art project. I’m from near London (but not a Londoner). He started because he was blamed for something he didn’t do and figured, well I might as well do something if I’m gonna get in trouble for it ;) AND I know someone thought it was clever that he grafittis rats and rat is an anagram of art, which he hadn’t noticed :) He’s funny…I like this poem he did on a bin…

Only when the last tree has been cut down,
And the last river has dried to a trickle,
Will man finally realise that we cannot eat money,
And reciting old proverbs makes you sound like a twat.

Ironically his importance lies less in his art than in the media attention he is receiving.

Yes Banksy, world famous Bristol Born ‘Art Terrorist’.

My own fave street art [if that's the correct word for it] is somewhere on the run in towards London Bridge. Someone has sprayed up, "Art is not a Crime". Can’t argue with that really.

I saw something on TV recently, one of Banksy’s artworks found on a guy’s private wall – he sold the art work and got £200,000 for it. Blimey!

It seems that while the value of our shares is crashing all around, the rich are still buying artworks like there’s no tomorrow.

Good for them. . . .

You know the funny thing about street art here in UK is that the authorities just want to stop it and use deadly chemical sprays to try and remove it.

Meanwhile in art-bound Paris, they see street art as the art of the common people – bit revolutionary if you see what I mean.

When you take the EuroStar from London St. Pancras to Paris, Gare du Nord, as you enter the final approach to Paris, you can enjoy all the street art on each side of the tracks. The French don’t have a problem with street art. For the French, art is art is art.
