The Met usually has several shows running at once, in addition to their huge collections. I haven’t been there in several years. You could find out about their current exhibits by going to their website:

As for "whose art is there" the answer is "thousands of artists". I have no idea what your paper is about specifically, but it’s far too many to list. You’ll need to narrow it down some.
